As July unfolds, Region 2 celebrates the spirit of service with 17 successful club installations and several impactful projects. With another installation scheduled for the coming month, the relentless service and synergy among clubs continue to transform lives across Region 2. From health initiatives to educational empowerment, Lions are lighting the path forward—one project at a time.

Here’s a look at the month’s remarkable achievements across various Lions Clubs in the region.

1. Lions Club of Mumbai Star

  • Scholarship Distribution: On July 10th, scholarships were awarded at Mangesh Vidyamandira, bringing smiles and opportunities to deserving students.
  • Blood Donation Drive: In collaboration with Lions Club of Bombay Vijaynagar, Bombay Lokhandwala Township, and Bombay Seven Bungalows, a blood donation camp at Thakur College of Science & Commerce (July 17th-18th) collected 261 units of blood.
  • Notebook Distribution: Lions & Leos distributed notebooks at Subedar Ramji.
  • Caring for the Elderly: Lunch was provided to 65 inmates of Ambedkar School at Dahisar on July 19th.

2. Lions Club of Mumbai Pride

  • Notebook Distribution: Vital educational resources were provided at Gundavali School, supporting students in their academic journey.

3. Lions Club of Gokuldham Yashodham

  • Support for Special Needs: Special chair donated to a special child (July 10th).
  • Educational Support: Notebook and food distribution at Santosh Nagar for local children.
  • Dental and Health Initiatives: Dental check-up camp for special children at Yashodham in association with IDA MWSB Branch.
  • Monsoon Comfort: Umbrella distribution at Krishna Society, Ware School, and John D’Silva’s office.

4. Lions Club of Bombay Vijay Nagar

  • Mental Health Workshops: Collaborative sessions at Mira Bhayander (July 18th) impacted over 300 students from Holy Cross and Don Bosco schools.
  • Notebook Distribution: 500 notebooks provided to Nityanand Marg BMC School (July 15th).
  • World Youth Skill Day: Special workshop on skill development reached 250 students at Nityanand Marg BMC School, organized with Parishar Asha.
  • Stress Management Workshop: Held at Anjuman Islam Versova for 50 Class 10 students (July 8th).

5. Lions Club of Ruby

  • Educational Kit Distribution: On July 10th, educational kits were gifted to students, empowering them for the academic year ahead.

6. Lions Club of Borivali East

  • Anajdan Project: In collaboration with Mumbai Ruby and Mumbai Matrix, a successful food gran donation drive was held on July 13th at Borivali East.

7. Lions Club of Bombay Lokhandwala Township

  • Meditation and Well-being: Organized a meditation camp at Bombay Transit School.
  • Blood Donation: Supported the life-saving campaign at Thakur College of Science & Commerce.

8. Lions Club of Bombay Four Bungalows

  • Health Screening: Organized breast cancer, bone density, and calcium check-ups for teachers of Pursottam High School, Bandra (E) on July 19th.

9. Lions Club of Mumbai Adityam Gold

  • Cultural Celebration: Celebrated Gathari Amavashya festival with tribal girls at Ashram School, Bhiwandi.
  • Infrastructure Development: Inaugurated the newly renovated building of Ambhiste High School & Junior College, Wada, Palghar. Supported by Medico Remedies Pvt Ltd, the ₹20 lakh project benefits 200+ students.

10. Lions Club of Bombay Millennium

  • Notebook Distribution: Together with the District, distributed notebooks at BMC School, Malad West, on July 1st.

11. Lions Club of Bombay Kalina

  • Academic Recognition: Felicitated SSC toppers from 15 schools in Kalina & Vakola areas.
  • Student Support: Provided books to a 3rd-year MBA student and distributed footwear and uniforms to the girls of Samarth Vidyalaya, Kalina.

12. Lions Club of Bombay Marol

  • Early Education Support: Balwadi children from nearby slums are attending free morning classes at the Bombay Marol Service Centre, paving the way for brighter futures.
