For the past 47 glorious years, Lions Club of Tarapur has been a shining beacon of Lionism, serving the rural and Adivasi communities with dedication and compassion. The Club stands apart with a remarkable tradition – not a single President has been repeated tenure since inception, a true benchmark of leadership development.
This Lionistic year, under the dynamic leadership of President Ln Viral Shah, LC Tarapur is marching ahead with renewed energy and notable achievements:
Mission 1.5 Success: 15 new members have joined the pride.
Global Impact: 3 members became Melvin Jones Fellows, contributing USD 3,500 to LCIF.
Major Service Projects: Significant initiatives under the causes of Youth, Environment, and Hunger.
CSR Partnerships: With support from Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd and others, 38 impactful service projects have been executed so far, with an investment of ₹ 8..5 lakh, 1775 Lions Hours, 1300 Lions Volunteers ,6900 Beneficiary and many more projects in the pipeline.
Legacy Project: Painting Competition being done since 45 years and Peace Poster Competition Done Since 38 Years. A highly successful event with participation of over 1,200 school students From 32 Schools, graced by PDG Ln Hemantraj Sethia, PMCC Ln. Dr.K Mudassir, RC Ln Atul Dandekar, and ZC Ln Sachin Gandhi.
Service to Schools: Donation of school bags, notebooks, raincoats, Water bottles and snacks to students of a rural school at Grammangal, Aaina village blessed by the presence of 1st VDG Ln Natwar Banka, along with RC Ln Atul Dandekar and ZC Ln. Sachin Gandhi.
District Participation: Active involvement in district projects including Blood Donation and Tree Plantation.
Recognition: The Club proudly received the RMLQ Rising Star Award *for conducting the *Lions Quest Programme.
With such milestones already achieved and many more planned, Lions Club of Tarapur continues to uphold its legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to community welfare.
