“Where there is a need… there is a Lion.”
On 8th September 2025, a very special chapter was written in the Lionistic journey of our District 3231A3. The Lions Club of Mumbai Cosmic Pride travelled to Kathmandu, Nepal, to celebrate their Club Installation Ceremony. But the journey was not an easy one. Nepal was facing troubled times—unrest, uncertainty, and fear were in the air. It was not safe, and every step carried questions and concern. And yet, the Cosmictarians carried faith in their hearts and hope in their eyes.
When they landed in Kathmandu, what awaited them was something extraordinary. The Lions of Nepal embraced them with warmth, care, and solidarity that words can barely describe. District Governor Lion Binay Basnet, his entire team, and Past District Governor Lion Ananta Bhetuwal not only attended the installation, but stood like guardians, ensuring every member felt safe and secure.
They did not stop at formalities. They went further…
Arranging transport when movement felt risky. Helping with hotel stay so that safety was never compromised. Guiding them to the holy Pashupatinath Temple and Shakti Peeth Guheshwari Temple for darshan, making the trip spiritually complete. And most of all—constantly checking, constantly reassuring, constantly standing by their side.
In those moments, the Lions of Mumbai Cosmic Pride realized something profound: Lionism is not just about projects or meetings—it is about family.
Far from home, in a land shadowed by difficulty, they found brothers and sisters in Lions vests. They were not alone; they were cared for, protected, and lifted up by the same spirit that binds us across the world.
Back home in India, the entire District 3231A3 family kept them in prayers and thoughts. That invisible strength gave them courage through each moment.
And when they returned, their hearts were overflowing—with gratitude to Nepal Lions, with pride in being part of this great global movement, and with a renewed faith in the truth that defines us all:
“Where there is a need, there is a Lion. And where there is a Lion, there is safety, family, and unconditional love.”
The story of Mumbai Cosmic Pride in Nepal will always remind us: our fraternity is not bound by borders, it is bound by hearts.
Thanx to Past DCS Priya Chawla from Lions Club of Cosmic Pride for sharing this incident
