Region 1 with 21 clubs celebrated the October Service week & Mental health and well being week from 2nd Oct to 10th Oct 2025.

Almost all 100% of clubs participated in Lions service Week with full energy and enthusiasm.

I always think we have different energy levels in our clubs which always motivate more people to join hands together to work for the betterment of society.

In October Service week I had an opportunity to attend many projects of various clubs in Region. Different Projects, Different Service activities, Different needs, Different people, Different Situations all together enriched me by visiting many destinations knowing different needs of society & trying to help whatever possible through our clubs & District. We all are really proud to serve as LIONS.

We as a Region conducted one small camp at Virar for VISION, Notebook Distribution, Environment & Medical Checkup of school students with all clubs.

We also participated at large almost 16 clubs in developing future of India teaching emotional & social Skills to teachers ultimately to students through Lions Quest Project of Lions Quest foundation.

We covered all the Service Global Focus Areas of Lions International Vision, Youth, Disaster Relief, Diabetes, Environmental Health, Childhood Cancer, Hunger, Mental Health and Well-Being, and Humanitarian in our service projects throughout the week.

All the Club Leaders have done great Service activities showing their commitment towards Lionism & Society at large. Many clubs in Vasai Successfully Organized Breast Screening Camp for 300 + women.

Being in new era with technological upgradation worldwide it seems that humanity may face new challenges in future. Lions International introduced Mental Health and Well-Being week from this year.

Our awareness rally on 10th Oct at Bhayandar, Vasai, Virar, Saphale, Palghar, Boisar & Dahanu made our Region more vibrant in above Mental Health and wellness Project.

Service never ends & We are doing the service activities in continuation with more new members joining Lionism. As our focus will always be to Add more & more new members, grew them as a Leaders & Serve the society at Large.

Lions Club of Palghar

Lions Club of Palghar celebrated October Service Week & Mental Health and Well-being. Many projects were done covering all nine Lions International focus area of service. Quiz contest was conducted first time in Lions Club of Palghar hall with many schools participation. Two new Lions members were added in the Club.

Lions Club of Kelve

Lions Club of Kelve has done various service projects in October Service Week. Where there is a need there is a Lion. Medical Camps, Educational Projects, Lectures, Donations, Lions Quest and many more service projects done in a week.

Lions Club of Tarapur

Lions Club of Tarapur successfully conducted OSW a dedicated week of impactful service activities benefiting the community. The project was inaugurated by PDG Lion Bharat Shah in the presence of PMCC Lion Dr K Mudassir, RC Ln Atul Dandekar, ZC Ln Sachin Gandhi , ZC Ln Pramod Patil and senior dignitaries, club leaders and members. During OSW Week, the Club carried out multiple community welfare initiatives with a focus on Health, Humanity and Social Support.

Key activities included:

Donation of a Mobile Folding Mortuary Freezer Box to Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Boisar (West), for free use by the community during emergencies.
Distribution of Medical Aid Equipment – including Wheelchairs, Walkers, a Medical Fowler Bed with Side Railing, and an Oxygen Concentrator, made available at Bhagwan Mahavir Orthopaedic Medical Aid Centre for needy patients.
Support to Underprivileged Families through service-oriented assistance under OSW social welfare drive.

This community-centric initiative received overwhelming public response and participation. The project strengthened the Club’s mission of “We Serve” by offering dignified support, timely help, and compassionate service to the residents of Tarapur and nearby areas. Lions Club of Tarapur remains committed to sustainable humanitarian service and will continue to undertake projects that bring lasting value to society.

Lions club of Virar Vikas done so many impactfull as well as unique projects in this October Service Week 2025. We have conducted more than 27 projects and raised more than 10,00,000 rs ( Ten Lacs Rupees) funds in this OSW. For that achievement we have received Simba Platinum Star Award from District. This year’s OSW criteria inspired us do such projects…

We were conducting 5 to 6 projects in a day because of our energetic team and precise planning. We have conducted Railway suraksha saptah at Virar Railway Station, Goshala visit, Fire drills, Pediatric Cancer seminar, Mangalprasadam, CLLI Training, Lions Quest, Tata Swachh Bharat project, Tree Plantation, Mammography, Swatch Bharat cleaning, ZP school medical camp and many more …

We get exhausted during the event but end of the day when we see that our efforts paid of when we see smile and satisfaction of beneficiaries!
