Monthly Report – Satellite Coordinator

October has always been a hallmark month for Lions, symbolizing dedication, compassion, and impactful service. The October Service Week (OSW) witnessed activities worth crores being executed across various clubs, significantly contributing to the welfare of society.

As a Satellite Coordinator, I had the privilege to attend, participate, and witness the remarkable service initiatives carried out during the October Service Week and Month. The collective efforts of our Lions family have once again demonstrated the true spirit of “We Serve.”

Highlights of the Month:

Blood Donation Camps:
A commendable number of blood donation drives were organized by various Satellite Clubs, resulting in the collection of 750+ blood bags, thereby potentially saving over 2250 lives.

Cyber Crime Awareness:
Informative and educational sessions on Cyber Crime Awareness were conducted for girls and women, empowering them with knowledge and safety practices in the digital era.

Anajdan (Food Grain Donation):
Multiple clubs participated in Anajdan activities, providing essential grains and food supplies to the needy and underprivileged communities.

Vision and Medical Camps:
Comprehensive Vision and Health Check-up Camps were organized both at the Satellite and Regional levels, benefitting more than 2500 children and citizens.

Fellowship and Celebration:
The month also embraced moments of joy and togetherness through a Navratri Garba Celebration, meticulously organized by Ln. Shraddha More, where Satellite clubs participated with enthusiasm and fellowship.

Cleanliness Drive and Awareness Rally:
A Cleanliness Drive and Awareness Rally was successfully conducted at Vasai Railway Station as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The event was efficiently coordinated by Ln. Rajesh Agarwal, Ln. Deepak Badgujar, and Ln. Shraddha More, spreading awareness about safety at Rly stn and environmental responsibility.

Region Vision Camp – Heera Vidyalaya, Virar:
A major Region Vision Camp was held at Heera Vidyalaya, Virar, focusing on key service areas such as Sight First, Diabetes Awareness, Environment, and Education. The initiative was well-received and created a meaningful impact in the community. This camp was coordinated by RC Lion Atul Dandekar.

Recognition and Appreciation:
All Satellite Clubs under the region showcased exceptional performance and were honoured with Platinum and Gold Awards at the October Service Week Finale, reflecting their unwavering commitment and excellence in service.

Gratitude:
I extend heartfelt gratitude to DG Lion Manoj Babur GST Chairperson Ln Tasnim Harianwala and all Satellite Clubs, Lion Leaders, and Members for their time, dedication, and relentless contribution toward community welfare. Your collective spirit and teamwork continue to uphold the Lionistic values and make a profound difference in society.
