We are pleased to present a brief report highlighting the service initiatives and active participation of the Lions Club of Tarapur during the month of December 2025. Throughout the month, our club enthusiastically engaged in various district-level, social, and community-oriented programs, reaffirming our commitment to the Lions’ ideals.
1. Participation in Agashi Sports Carnival
Members of our club actively participated in the Agashi Sports Carnival, extending support to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and youth engagement within the community.
2. Participation in District Bike Rally
Our club members proudly participated in the District Bike Rally from Saphale Jetty to Dahanu, organized on the auspicious occasion of the District Governor’s 60th Birthday. The event reflected our unity, enthusiasm, and support for district initiatives.
3. Tree Plantation – Permanent Project
To commemorate the District Governor’s 60th Birthday, the Lions Club of Tarapur undertook a tree plantation drive as part of our permanent project. A total of 60 saplings were planted at Vidhya Nagar Garden, contributing meaningfully toward environmental conservation and a greener future.
4. Peace Poster Competition
Our club actively participated in the Peace Poster Competition and achieved remarkable success. The Peace Poster sponsored by our club was selected at multiple levels, and the First Prize winner was felicitated at the district level with a cash award of ₹11,000/-, presented by the District Governor. This achievement reflects our commitment to encouraging creativity and the message of peace among young minds.
5. Donation of Mobile Folding Stretcher
A Mobile Folding Stretcher (Hovel) was donated to the local Police Station, strengthening emergency response and supporting essential public services.
6. Distribution of Educational Material
As part of our educational support initiatives:
- Notebooks were distributed to school students.
- Slates and pencils were distributed to Anganwadi children through ASHA workers, supporting early childhood education.
Through these service activities, the Lions Club of Tarapur continues to uphold the Lions’ motto, “We Serve,” and remains dedicated to impactful and meaningful community service.
