July 2025 marked a dynamic start to the Lionistic year 2025-26 across Region I. With 14 installations successfully completed, our spirited Lions clubs immediately took up the mantle of service, bringing smiles, learning tools, and greenery to our communities. Here’s a round-up of inspiring projects executed by region clubs in July 2025:
Lion’s Club of Palghar:
The Lion’s Club of Palghar inaugurated their service year with a heartfelt project, distributing notebooks to needy students at the Zilla Parishad School of Palghar. This simple gesture went a long way in boosting the academic journey of underprivileged children, ensuring that every child has access to basic learning resources.
Lions Club of Bharari:
President Lion Nancy Pereira, along with her dedicated Bharari team, brightened the lives of children at Snehasadan Ashram, Rashmi Park, Waliv, Vasai East. They distributed notebooks and snacks, demonstrating that education and kindness go hand-in-hand, and further cementing the club’s enduring commitment to the welfare of the less-privileged.

Lions Club of Vasai Unique
On Thursday, 17th July 2025, the Lions Club of Vasai Unique held a grand notebook distribution event at RP Wagh School and Adarsh School, Vasai. The reach and impact of this project were substantial:
Notebooks Distributed: 900
Smiling Faces: 200 students
School Bags Distributed: 100
Special Feast: Chocolates and biscuits
Project Cost: ₹43,000
Through this event, the club not only provided academic supplies but also filled the day with cheer, nourishment, and hope for these young learners.
Lions Club of Kelve:
Environment and sustainability took centre stage as the Lions Club of Kelve organized an impressive community tree plantation drive on Sunday, July 6th. In a collaborative effort with local citizens, 316 coconut trees were planted at “Surubaug – Bhuikot Killa” in Kelve. The overwhelming public participation showcases the power of collective action in nurturing a greener tomorrow.
Lions Club of Mira Bhayandar Galaxy
The Mira Bhayandar Galaxy club illuminated the faces of 300 students at MBMC Schools 13 & 29, distributing a remarkable 1800 notebooks and 300 chocolates on 19th July 2025. The event was graced by Chief Guest Lion Tasneem Hariyanwala (GST Chairperson) and Guest of Honour Lion Sunil Shah (GFA Youth).
Project Cost: ₹88,500
The project stood as a testament to the club’s unwavering focus on literacy and youth empowerment.
