Service Projects in the month of SEPTEMBER
Mumbai Star
- Mumbai Star 1, Mangesh: On 17th September Team Mumbai Star sponsored and distributed Text books and Practical book to the students of Mangesh Vidyalaya, Kokani Pada, Malad East.
- Mumbai Star 2, CLLI: On 21st September evening CLLI workshop was arranged along with closed door meeting at Punarvas Special School. FDI graduate Lion Rashida Kapadia conducted the workshop.
Lions Club of Gokuldham Yashodham
- GDYD 1. Special: On 11th September the full team of Gokldham Yashodham honored teachers of Shishumangalam School at Goregaon East and spent almost 4 hours with the special children. Cultural events and games were also arranged followed by lunch.
- GDYD 2, Diabetes: A diabetes camp along with BMD, Skin, Hair and general medicines was organized at Navbharat Society near Oberoi Wood
Lions Club of Mumbai Ruby
- Ruby1: on 29th August Club organized free medical Camp at Suraj Plaza. Beneficiaries 100 plus. Team of Wockhardt Hospital Mira Road & Agarwal Nursing Home carried out the camp for test of BP, BSR, ECG, BMD etc.
- Ruby2: On second consecutive day Club organized Medical camp at Bombay Market CHS where more than 100 residents were benefited. Same team worked. The total cost for two days was Rs.50, 800.
Lions Club of Bombay Seven Bungalows
- In association with LC of Bombay Lokhandwala Township LC of Bombay Seven Bungalows organized Free eye checkup camps for consecutive 3 days September)at Bombay Trannsit School, Lokhandwala Township, Kandivali East between 16th to 18th September.
- On 25th September organized Eye Checkup and Vision correction camp in association with Lion Club of Vasai at Virar East.
Lions Club of Bombay Lokhandwala Township
- Club organized free eye checkup camp for 3 consecutive days covering around 1000 students of Mumbai Transit School, Lokhandwala Township, Kandivali from 16th September in association with LC of Bombay Seven bungalows.
- 1st batch of 40 Ration Kits were distributed to the families of cancer patients from TATA Hospital.
- Club in association with HBT Medical College, Dr. R N Cooper Hospital and Shree Raj Medical & Health care Centre, Parli organized FREE GENERAL HEALTH CHECH UP CAMP for Adivasi children, teachers & Staff at Shree Raj Education center, Nanose, Raj Nagar, Parli.
Lions Club of Mumbai Adityam Gold
- On 1st day of Navratri LC of Adityam Gold served Lunch to 200 tribal girl students of Ashram School, Vajreswari.
- Distributed Notebooks at G A Patil Vidyalaya, Sagaon, Bhivandi.
- Tribal students: 266

- Project Cost: Rs.46, 000.
- Medical checkup for ladies on 3rd day of Navratri. Tests include HIV, Hbsag, Cervical Cancer Screening, Oral Cancer Screening and Breast cancer screening. Total beneficiaries: 248. Asha workers helped to bring the beneficiaries to the testing center.
Lions Club of Bombay Kalina
- On 8th September Lions Club of Bombay Kalina organized DG visit.
Lions Club of Bombay Marol
- As part of bimonthly food for hungry program LC of Marol distributed 130 lunch packets to the underprivileged on 14th September.
Lion Club of Bombay Juhu Beach
- In the month of September President Girish Parekh done a project worth of Rs.2.5 lakhs to COW SHELTER for old or infirm and abandoned cows.
- On 12th September Club organized Anaj Vitaran with JJC Vile Parle center to 235 families. Project cost Rs.3.75 lakhs. This is taken as OSW project on 5th October as President will not be available on that day.
- Lion Alakh Shah on behalf of Lions Club of Juhu Beach paid Rs.3.0 lakh to a needy student of Nehru Nagar to get admission in 1st year of MBA in Dalmiya College, Mira Road.
- On 25th September club President Lion Girish Parekh done a project at Shraddha Foundation (Street Children). Served lunch to all children in memory of his parents.
- Lion Alakh Shah of Juhu Beach club donated Rs.25.5 Lakh under CSR project of Borochemie India Pvt. Ltd. To Prashanthi Balamandira Trust (A trust run by Sri Satya Sai Seva Organization Bangalore). It will be spent for upcoming 600 bed Hospital in the premises. Work will be completed by November 2025. PM NARENDRA MODI will inaugurate. Hospital will allocate 3 beds in memories of Lion Alakh Shah’s parents and his uncle.
